I had a pleasant stay at the Vulcan Hotel Sydney, with excellent staff who truly made me feel welcomed. The location was fantastic, allowing me to explore the city easily, although the room's overall appearance could use some updates. While breakfast was decent, I felt that there were some areas in the room that left a bit to be desired.

Rooms
7.0
The room was relatively small and had some dated features, but it was clean and quite. I appreciated the zero-tolerance noise policy, making it a comfortable space despite being near the street. However, I did wish for brighter lighting in the bathroom and more storage options.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which significantly enhanced my visit. They were helpful during check-in and attentive throughout my stay, making everything feel seamless.
Location
8.0
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to access attractions in Sydney. It’s within walking distance to various restaurants and the Central train station, which was a big plus for me. However, its one-way street location could be a bit confusing for cab drivers.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was a nice addition, especially the lamington bites, but I was a bit disappointed that barista coffee wasn’t included. It started a bit late for my early travel plans, but overall it was decent for a hotel breakfast.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered some great facilities like room service and housekeeping. While I found the amenities satisfactory, the lack of an iron in the room was a bit inconvenient, as I had to use one in the hallway.

6.6/10

I had a pleasant stay at Vulcan Hotel Sydney. The location is quite central, making it easy to explore the city and visit local attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, which added to my positive experience. However, the bathroom was a bit small for my liking, and I noticed some areas could use improvement, particularly in terms of amenities and breakfast options.

Rooms

The room was a decent size and very clean, though the bathroom felt cramped. I appreciated the daily housekeeping and the comfortable beds.

The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Checking in was easy, even after hours, which I appreciated.
Location
9.0
I found the location to be excellent, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions like the International Conference Centre and Darling Harbour.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast options were simple and not as diverse as I hoped. I would have liked more variety, especially with additional breads and fruit.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offers basic facilities but could benefit from some upgrades, particularly regarding room amenities and breakfast quality.

5.2/10

I had a lovely stay at this boutique hotel. The room was spacious and very clean, although the air conditioning was a bit noisy, which interrupted my sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience pleasant overall. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast, but I would have liked a bit more variety in the dining options.

Rooms
7.0
The room was modern and clean, with comfy beds and a well-maintained bathroom. However, the air conditioning was noisy, which detracted from my sleep quality.
Service
10.0
The staff were fantastic, always willing to help and went out of their way to accommodate my requests. They truly set this hotel apart.
Location
8.0
I found the location to be ideal, close to the event I was attending and just a short walk to Chinatown and public transport. However, it took about 10 minutes to walk to the nearest station, which wasn't great in the heat.
Dining
7.0
The complimentary breakfast was nice but basic. I would have preferred specialty coffee instead of instant offerings.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered good services such as room service and laundry, but I found the communal lounge area to be lacking, which limited social spaces.

I enjoyed my stay at the Vulcan Hotel Sydney, as it offered a lovely boutique vibe in a quiet area, away from the hustle of Haymarket. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a great base for exploring the city. However, I found the breakfast selection limited and wished for more variety, especially fresh fruit.

Rooms
8.0
My king bed room was excellent and very comfortable, though somewhat practical rather than cozy. It had a lot of natural light and was scrupulously clean.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making check-in easy and quick. They even made fresh pizza for me after a long day of travel, which was a nice touch.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perfectly positioned for accessing public transportation and is a pleasant walk to many sights. It's tucked away from busy streets, allowing for a quieter experience.
Dining

While the café was a nice place to have breakfast, the menu was limited to a basic selection. I would have appreciated a wider range of options, particularly fresh fruit.
Facilities

The hotel offered essential facilities like laundry and room service, and I appreciated the welcoming drink. However, I did notice that the bathroom had no ventilation.

5.2/10

I had a mixed experience at the Vulcan Hotel. While the location was fantastic and the staff were friendly, I faced issues with billing that left a sour taste. The rooms were clean but the noise from the street was a significant drawback for my stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room was small but clean, though a bit noisy from the main road outside. I dealt with a hard and lumpy bed, and the pillows could use an upgrade.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally friendly and accommodating. However, there was a frustrating billing mix-up, and my inquiries about the issue were met with rudeness from some staff members.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is great, being close to Central Station and a short walk to many attractions. However, its position on a busy road resulted in quite a bit of traffic noise.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast had limited options, but I enjoyed the café in the hotel. The menu offered some great choices for dinner, especially the pizzas, though breakfast could open earlier than 8 am on weekends.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had solid facilities, but I found the TV lacking modern features like digital services. The overall ambiance was nice, and the public areas were clean.
